Tejasswi Prakash Reacts On Drashti Dhami Receiving Backlash In Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka Season 1
Drashti Dhami’s character of a home-breaker in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka did not go well with the audience. Actress, Tejasswi Prakash who plays a lead role in the show’s sequel on Voot, talks about her thoughts before taking up the project
Earlier, SpotboyE.com brought to the news of show, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka getting trolled for encouraging infidelity. Drashti Dhami specifically was being slammed for her role of a home-breaker. Along with Drashti Dhami, the show also starred Aditi Sharma and Shakti Arora which received a lot of backlash. Courtesy the show’s controversial concept of extra marital affair.
Drashti faced most of It as she essayed the character of Nandini who falls in love with her best friend Mauli's (Aditi Sharma) husband, Kunal (Shakti Arora). Now to make justice to the concept makers have released Season 2 of the show on an OTT platform Voot. Tejasswi Prakash, Aneri Vajani and Kunal Jaisingh will be seen in the lead roles. And Tejasswi will play the daughter of Mauli and Kunal.

As we know Tejasswi has been part of a controversial show, 'Pehredar Piya Ki' which went off air due to an unacceptable concept by the audience. Recently at the Indian Telly Awards, we caught up with her and quizzed her if she was reluctant to take up the sequel of the show after what Drashti Dhami faced during the first season. "I am so used to doing controversial shows. I just love it (laughs). I love controversy. Yes the first part of Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka received a lot of backlash, but I think that was only because it was on Colours TV and we are now on Voot. The kind of audience we have now will sportingly accept it and now the show is on a correct platform I would say. So we will be accepted, but I really feel bad for them," she said.
She also mentioned, "I had no thoughts before taking up the show because I have already tackled a lot of negativity. Nothing impacts you until you’re doing your job with 100% dedication. If you are good at your job people will like you if you are not good even if you do a non controversial show no body will like you. For example people say a lot of things about Drashti Dhami for playing Nandini in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, but I know how good person she is in real life. And whatever backlash she has received during the course of time. It is not going to affect her career."
Talking about season 2, the show will revolve around grown up Mishti and Pari. Mishti believes in love and commitment, while Pari is a commitment phobic and easy going. The two sisters run an event management company and live with their grandmother along with Mauli and Ishaan's son, Ansh. Mauli, Kunal and Ishaan are now dead. Mishti is about to get engaged to her boyfriend Veer. Elsewhere, Pari meets Ruhaan and gets fascinated by him. But Ruhaan who is Veer’s close friend sees Mishti and falls for her.
